We cannot believe that the three years since we came to Canterbury and took over from Ortwin in August 2019 have flown by so very quickly, and what a time it has been as well!!!
Who could possibly have foreseen a global pandemic and lockdowns that changed the face of the high street and the way we live and shop. Despite all that, we continued to work through and had the pleasure of making some amazing pieces of jewellery for you, and we are so pleased to say that we have weathered the storm and continue with great enthusiasm, and commitment with very many thanks to all our wonderful clients who have been so supportive since we came here.
We have brightened the shop and workshop with a fresh coat of paint and some new lighting will be installed soon, and you will be able to see our goldsmiths working at the bench from the shop front as we continue to work on moving it to a more visible location.
We have recently integrated an e-commerce section into our website where you can buy our ready-made pieces on-line and, of course, we look forward to welcoming you to the store in person when you visit the wonderful city of Canterbury.
To celebrate our third anniversary we are announcing the change of our trading name to
André Rose Master Jewellery Makers
Ortwin Thyssen Design Ltd remains the company name but we just felt the trading name should reflect us more personally as well as cementing our future in the city. We continue to manufacture on site in the old traditional methods we were schooled in as Ortwin had done so for many years before us. We pride ourselves in the signature beauty, variation, perfection and precision of our jewellery and welcome you to visit our shop to experience our work first-hand.
