Signet Ring with Carved Carnelian in 18ct Yellow Gold

The elegant shape of this bespoke 18ct Yellow Gold signet ring is set with an oval Carnelian, with its elegant lines and flowing silhouette the Carnelian has been hand engraved with the figure of a bear. Ancient Egyptians named Carnelian the “Sunset Stone” because they believed it caught and reflected the heat of the sun. Carnelian, a chalcedony quartz, is a multi tonal stone and varies from the rich brownish red colour, seen pictured here, to the paler amber orange shades and can be completely opaque or semi translucent.

The top of the ring measures 12mm x 14.2mm.
