Precious Origins

20 April 2017

Ortwin always has a keen eye for interesting diamonds and precious stones that can inspire a new design and bring delight to customers. The provenance of all materials is of the utmost importance if we are to create truly authentic jewellery where we can. Our pieces feature traceable diamonds from around the globe – discovered deep in the Canadian Tundra, within the plains of Botswana and in the isolated Australian outback.

Recently Ortwin found a remarkable 0.86ct certified emerald-cut Diamond mined in Canada.

A lovely example and a large stone, it has excellent symmetry and beautifully cut proportions. Ortwin felt immediately compelled to sketch several engagement ring designs as a showcase… However, he’s decided to await the right commission for such a special find.
