Many people on holiday head for the beach, Ortwin opted for a week-long residential course in stone carving. Run by artist Charlotte De Syllas, a leading lapidarist and jewellery maker with over 50 years experience, it was an opportunity to learn new skills and explore his own creative interests. Sir Henry Moore inspired miniatures, Chrysoprase animal carvings and plenty of experimentation and fun were to follow!
