Looking for an Engagement ring?

We design and make all of our own engagement rings here on site in our workshop. We endeavour to provide our customers with designs which are unique to them and suit them as a person. With our range of styles and samples we can show you rings from stock and images from our extensive portfolio to help you see an array of designs to help to guide you in the right direction. When looking at the designs, keep in mind your partners style and preferences. Does your partner prefer traditional styles or would they prefer something quirky and unusual? Would your partner prefer a simple design, or a complex design with more than one stone? Would the metalwork be the important factor in the ring or would the stone be the main feature?

Design

Once you have discussed the first factors with us we can begin the designing process together with you. One of the first elements to think about is which metal to use and the colour of the metal whether you would like a white metal or yellow or red gold. When designing the engagement ring it is wise to think about the wedding ring and how it will fit around the ring. You can have wedding bands which are curved and fitted, though if you both prefer traditional wedding bands this is something to bare in mind when designing the engagement ring.

Stones

The shape of the stone is also an important element to discuss as there are many alternatives available. There are stones available to suit all budgets, factors to think about include: the size of the diamond, clarity, colour and weight and cut of the stone. For further information please read a brief and clear guide on diamonds. We feel that it is quite important to see the real stone as colours and clarity can never truly be shown in a photograph or on screen. If we haven’t got the right stone for you here, we can source an appropriate selection of stones.

Final design & making

Once the design is finalised and we have given you an estimate for the price, it is always good to have a break and collect your thoughts. You can take with you a full and clear description of the design we have arrived at, with an estimated price and a drawing of the design. If you feel the design needs revisiting and amending we encourage you to come back and discuss the changes that you would like to make. At this point you could propose with the loose stone and the design drawings and decide on the final design together.

Once you feel the design is right we would ask for a deposit and the making of the ring will begin. We offer you to come and look at the ring during the making process to see how the ring is developing, an ideal point to view the ring would be when the ring is at the stage before the setting of the stones. At all stages we can accommodate any changes you wish to make.

Choosing and designing your engagement ring should be an exciting and creative experience to produce a unique ring that you can cherish for years to come.

Collection

The last part of your journey will be to collect the ring.
